Cooling fabrics in Taiwan
Consumers in Taiwan can escape the summer heat by wearing cooling fabrics, fabrics with a “Q-max” value of higher than 0,14, reports the Focus Taiwan News Channel. The Q-max value is the maximum amount of heat that the textiles can conduct away from the wearer, with 0,14 being the threshold that separates cooling and non-cooling fabrics. The Taiwan Federation has warned consumers to check for authenticity when buying the cooling fabrics. Only 15 textile makers in Taiwan are currently certified manufacturers of these fabrics, said Chen Mei-chen, section chief of the Federation.
